Sum it up:2013

Sunday, December 29, 2013

2013 was...colorful.There was lots of things that happened this year that have had an impact on my life.I have to say I have changed,I formed myself more as a person and I gained more self-confidence.[Even tho I still have to work on that.]I think the self-confidence gain may be a reason why I created this blog.I'm really pleased that I often went out of my comfort zone, which felt good every time.I learned that I shouldn't look life in a wider concept,or otherwise it leads to an existential crisis, which is always unpleasant.I learned to appreciate little things and gestures[such as a smile,a touch]  more and not to jump and judge people.I've read some books this year that had an impact on my idea of reality and people. To sum it all up,I'm pleased with this year and I think I have improved both emotionally and psychically.

I wish to myself more movies, books, tea and coffee in this new 2014.I hope this year will be successful for my little blog and I hope I will finally fall in love. But lets leave that aside.

To you my lovely followers,I wish a very Happy New Year with lots and lots of success,happiness,life-changing resolutions and,of course, love.
Lots of love,
Laura x

The Christmas Tag❆

Tuesday, December 10, 2013
I saw this tag on Chloe's blog and since I'm in the mood for Christmas this year,I shall do it!
Link to Chloe's tag:http://www.chloesway.com/2013/12/the-christmas-tag.html

Let's get started,

1.  Do you prefer a real Christmas tree or synthetic?
I prefer synthetic because even tho the real one looks amazing and smells amazing,it gets dry soon. And you can have an synthetic one for years.

 2.  You're in a coffee shop, it's December, what do you pick?
Hmmmm.A caramlised macchiato or a hot chochloate(with whipped cream of course).

 3.  Whats your favourite colour scheme for decorating the tree?
Well,I really like burgundy red,so I would go with burgundy red and silver.

4.  Giving or receiving?
Well,I love receiving gifts and that makes me super excited, but I'm still gonna go with giving.I really love picking presents for others,I put much tought into my gifts and I love suprising people with nice things.

5.  To mince pie or not to?

To mince pie!

6.  What's your traditional Sunday lunch?
Well,in Croatia Sunday lunch is tad a bit different than in other countries.Simply because we have different dishes. We have this 'rolls' with meat, but the usual chicken, potatoes, soup and so on.

7.  Christmas day fashion.
We don't really have a strict dress code.We dress up,but nothing special.

8.  What's your favourite Christmas song?
Shake It Up and Santa, baby. Those really get me in the Christmasy mood.

9.  What's your favourite Christmas film?
Ugh I don't know.I think it has become a tradition to watch Home Alone so I will go with that.

10.  Open presents before or after lunch?
Before! It's sadistic to wait after lunch!

T'was fun!I would love to read some more,so tell me if you have done one aswell.

Much Love,
Laura. x

Beyonce:Pulse

Friday, August 23, 2013
Follow my blog with Bloglovin

You can follow my blog with Bloglovin now!

My go-to summer parfume is Beyonce's Pulse.
The scent of this is very sweet, but not overly sweet.Very gentle and elegant scent, not too overwhelming. For some reason,I think of cashmere.

I was kind of disappointed at how fastly I spent it.

The packaging is very Beyonce, the scent is very feminine and in overall i like this scent.
4.5/5
Love,

August Playlist.

I decided to share some music I have been listening to all the time this month.

Pierce The Veil:Caraphernelia

Lana Del Rey:Lolita

Gabrielle Aplin:Home

Bon Iver:Skinny Love

Ellie Goulding:I Know You Care (Such a good movie!)

And that is all. What is your go-to song this month?
xo,Laura

August Favourites ღ

Hey,hey.

I haven't been using much makeup or hair products this month, just now and then.My skin has been behaving nicely.(Which I am grateful of.haha)

First thing is:
Garnier Moisture Match.
Words cannot describe how much I love this moisturizer. It REALLY gives me the perfect amount of moisture. It sets within seconds, which is amazing.I really don't like waiting. It consistency is very creamy, thick(?).It smells like a sorbet to me,and it's really refreshing to the skin.It keeps my skin(T-zone to be exact) matte even during these summer heats.
(If you want a more detailed review, let me know.)

Garnier BB Cream for Combination/Oily skin(sorry for the bad picture):
The main reason why I love this is because it leaves a beautiful dewy finish. The coverage is maybe a bit higher than others' BB Creams. It gives a really nice radiant glow to dull skin.It works on dry skin too,and it's very long lasting too!
 L'Oreal Studio Mineral Control:Mess It Up Liquid Gel;
I naturally have wavy hair,so I use this product to enhance my waves.I rub it between my palms and scrunch into my hair.At first I tought it might be heavy, but that was not the case.
However,I don't recommend this for fine/thin hair.

Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara:
SO Underrated.I usually don't like plastic wands, but this one has suprised me.(in a good way)
The wand is basically three balls. Those little balls give your volume, thickness and length.
I apply it at the roots and move left-right.This lovely mascara is also available in waterproof version.

Bourjois Kabuki:
I bought this one 2-3 years ago.I use it now and then, and it's a really good kabuki.I apply my powder,as well as blusher.I love how it doesn't spread the blusher all over the cheek like most kabuki's do.It's very soft, and in these  2-3 years not a single hair has fallen.
I believe the price was around 18 $.

So,yes that would be all for my August favourites.I hope you enjoyed them!
If you wish me to do a detailed review on any of these, leave me a comment down below.

Review:Catrice Camouflage ღ

Saturday, August 17, 2013
Catrice is my favourite budget brand.I'm suprised at the quality they can offer.Prices are between Essence and Maybelline.

Okay,so I have quite dark under-eye circles, and when I use concealers, they just build up and crease and it it just doesn't look nice overall.
The only concealer that does the job properly is Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer, but more on that some other time.

This camouflage covered my dark circles amazingly! It costs around 3,50 euro(5-6 $).

On this picture you can see how it covered my spot:

It does not crease, which is amazing. It also cover freckles.
Available colours:010 Ivory,020 Light Beige,030 Rozy Beige(my shade)
Be CAREFUL and try the product in the store. It may appear darker or lighter on the hand or in the
pot.
The cream is quite thick,so you need to warm it up with your fingers.

Packaging:It's very nice,elegant and simple.

Overall:5/5 This product does it's job great, the packaging is really elegant, and the price is ridiculously low.

Have you tried this camouflage cream?Do you like it?
xo,Laura

Review:Rimmel Alarm ღ

Hey,hey.
The other day I decided I should buy a new red lipstick, since I haven't in a long time.I finally decided for Rimmel's Alarm.

Alarm is a very bright red, which,in my opinion, would be suitable for most skin colours.
The lipstick is not drying, but it's not moisturizing either. The smell is amazing!I didn't expect it to smell nice, but this lipstick smells like a cherry  lip balm.

I also bought Manhattan X-Treme Last Lipliner in 44N.It looks great with this lipstick.

Here's a swatch:

What are your favourite red lipsticks?
