5 Natural Makeup Essentials

Saturday, January 10, 2015

Hello!First of all,Happy New Year!I wish you all the best in the upcoming year. I'm sorry I was absent for 4 whole months but,to be honest, it was something I expected due to school and so on.
Either way, I wanted to share my 5 essentials for a good natural makeup look, as it's something I wear every day.

Number 1: A good mascara | A good mascara as in a mascara that will separate your lashes and make them look naturally voluminous and long. I've decided to chose MF's Masterpiece Transform as it's great for separating your lashes right at the root and elongating them. Also, I would like to point out Maybelline's Lots of Lashes mascara-one of my top top favorites.

Number 2:The base | A natural looking, glowy base is one of the key components of a natural looking makeup. (At least in my opinion) You don't necessarily have to have a dewy foundation/tinted moisturizer. I like to use an illuminator or a illuminating creme (such as the Corine de Farme illuminating hydrating moisturizer or the illuminator from NYX). I also adore liquid highlighters. I use the one from Catrice, which I reviewed here.

Number 4: A medium brown (matte) eyeshadow | A medium brown eyeshadow is kind of a must in a natural makeup look. In my opinion, it's best if that eyeshadow is matte as it will look more natural. The thing is, with just this one eyeshadow you can do your entire eye-makeup. You can intensify it in the crease and add more on the lower lash line for a more night time look. (The one from the picture is from Pupart palette no.1)

Number 4:Blusher | I love using a peach or a light pink color when doing a natural looking makeup because they will usually give you a natural, pinched cheek looking blush. This blush tint is great as it literally looks like a natural blush and the other blush is a peach powder version which I love dusting at the top of my cheeks. (Catrice Tint and H&M Dazzling Peach)

Number 5:Lip Tint | On everyday basis I love using a lip tint or a tinted balm rather than a lipstick simply because it's easier and low-maintenance. I think the Baby Lips are perfect for that because they give a slight tint to your lips and moisturize them at the same time. (My favorite are the Peach Kiss and Cherry Me)

I'm sorry I've been so absent and lazy, I promise I will try to be more active around here. On that note, I decided that I will be renaming my blog as I'm not happy with 'LipstickJunkie' anymore,at all. Until I find a name that I'm 100% happy with, my blog will be named after me. (Laura Palmer)

Have a lovely weekend,
